Discover Sailing: “Push The Boat Out Day”…

…………. at the Royal Cornwall Yacht Club in Falmouth

The RCYC regularly takes part in the Royal Yachting Association’s Discover Sailing events, formerly known as “Push The Boat Out Day”, when clubs all over the UK offer an invitation for all ages and abilities to get out on the water. The last couple of years have not been possible because the Covid 19 Pandemic has intervened, but we hope that we will soon be able to resume our involvement.

Push the Boat Out Day is a countrywide initiative set up by the Royal Yachting Association to help people discover the joys of sailing. It’s free to come along and families and children are most welcome – anyone can just pop along and see if sailing floats their boat. Look out for the dates when the next event will be held.

Lifejackets and qualified instructors provided! Over 70 children and adults came to the RCYC Push the Boat Out Day last year and had a great time.

There is usually dinghy instruction and yacht sailing on the day or you may just want to enjoy a trip round the harbour on a yacht. The RNLI (Lifeboats) always get involved and they’ll give anyone who needs one a free life jacket check.
