The Yachting Monthly Celtic Triangle 2025

The 2025 edition will start on Sunday 8th June

We are working to deliver a fabulous Yachting Monthly Celtic Triangle race in June this year, with a perfect blend of competitive spirit and social camaraderie, offering an experience to rejuvenate this event which first took place in 1984.

YM Celtic Triangle: Falmouth Start

The Yachting Monthly Triangle race was originally hosted by the RCYC in 1984 before moving to The Royal Torbay Yacht Club who ran many successful editions.
The Kinsale-Tréguier leg will also be a qualifier for the 2027 edition of the RCYC’s Azores and Back Race (AZAB). After the 2025 edition prize giving on 20th June, the RCYC will be hosting ‘AZAB at 50’, celebrating 50 years since the first AZAB race. Some previous AZAB competitors will also be joining the Triangle 2025 race.
Now called Yachting Monthly Celtic Triangle, within the solo and two-handed classes there will be Corinthian prizes for those that have not raced solo or two handed before.
Both SORC ( Solo Offshore Racing Club) and UKDHOS (UK Double Handed Offshore Series) classes have committed to the 2025 Triangle series and will be including all 3 legs in their Seasons Points Championships. The Triangle will be run under World Sailing Offshore Special Regulations (OSR) Category 3 with Life raft and some other additional requirements.
The Notice of Race (NoR) was published in January 2025 on the ‘Official Noticeboard’ on this website and appeared in the February edition of Yachting Monthly magazine. The NoR contains the information and milestone timings you need to be able to confirm your full entry.
